Vendors

Veeva Events Management is designed so vendors can work directly within the system. Vendors who work on events within the system must be given log in permission. In order for a Vendor to be selected on an event, the Vendor’s status must be Eligible_vod.

Additionally, there is a Vendor object within Veeva Events Management, EM_Vendor_vod. This is used to store a list of vendors, and be used for a number of purposes.

An event can be related to a vendor via a lookup relationship. When this lookup is populated, Salesforce work flows can be configured to alert the vendor a new event is scheduled. The appropriate person from the vendor can be added as a team member to gain visibility to the event details and assist in planning.

Expenses for an event can also be tied back to a vendor, such as logistics service fees.
